The first thing most people see when they enter Célestine's bedchamber is the floor length, heavy velvet drapes that cover the windows. They are dark blue and they set the theme for the rest of the room. The bed it a medium sized four poster, with dark blue velvet drapes and dark silk sheets. There is a large dark wood desk and a vanity table with a glass mirror atop it. The table is made of the same dark wood as the rest, and as is the matching chair that sits before it. All the dark wood is carved with fresco's of mythical creatures: some beautiful and some nightmarish. There is usually a stack of books to be seen on the table top, along with a lap harp and sketches of various creatures and people. The walls are decorated in murals of what one would see from this room if the walls were not there, though all painted at night.

Louise’s chambers consist of a bedroom, bathing chamber, and a sitting room at its entry point. The sitting room is painted in a pale buttery yellow, making it cheerful in warm months and warming the light from the windows along the wall in winter. Along the wall under the windows and on various shelves around the room are an assortment of pots and planters filled with flowers and herbs. Off to the side is a fireplace with a kettle and pot, which she uses for brewing tea and creating herbal and floral lotions and creams. There’s a small work table near the fireplace cluttered with mortars and pestles, jars, bowls, and cheesecloth. In the center of the room is a delicately carved wooden table with four chairs, and on the other side of the room, two padded lounging chairs with a small end table between them. Her bathing chamber is a cool light blue with delicate shell designs on the walls, a basin, and a marble bathtub. Her bedroom is the same warm tan as her office, and contains a large bed covered in chocolate-colored sheets and piled with pillows, a brocade brown and cream settee, washbasin, and nightstand on either side of the bed - both of which have stacks of books on them.

The rooms have been decorated in varying shades of blue, grey and green. There is definitely a nautical feel to them, along with items that speak of her love of astronomy too. The heavy floor length drapes are a dark blue velvet, and the sheets on the heavy four poster bed are aqua silk. The furniture is comfortable and carved from lighter woods, with charcoal grey silk coverings. They are open and inviting, a contrast to the mask their inhabitant wears.

The rooms are a good mix of burgundy, an earthy brown and a rich cream. The accents of the rooms are of gold, and the furniture is made from rich red Namarrese rose wood, though cut in a more plain Camaeline style. The curtains are heavy, thick velvet in the deep red, while the silk settees are of the brown and cream. The rooms are the perfect compromise, much like the owners.

No unread posts Isolde de Rocaille's Salon

The Salon is a place of light and air, decorated in soothing colours with more vibrant cushions scattered about. There are tables, chez lounges, and floor cushions, catering for all tastes and relaxations. There are three main rooms one of which opens onto a large yet well appointed garden, to sit, drink and eat. There is a piano and a large lap harp in one of the rooms, along with shelves of books for all to read. While there are also a number of private rooms decorated to suit different tastes and themes. The staff are polite, unobtrusive and efficient as they see to peoples needs.

Below is a list of the staff that Isolde employs in her Salon and her Apartment. These can be NPC’d by visitors to her Salon and Apartment.

Lily, daughter of Sa’Mena – this half Tsingani stands at 5 feet and 3 inches, has milky chocolate skin, and inky black hair. Her frame is small and willowy, her eyes large and dark with flecks of hazel in them, her nose small and petit. She dresses in either Rocaille livery, or certain outfits to match themes that may be taking place. She is shy, yet polite, and rarely joins in with friendly chit-chat unless she has gotten to know the person first. She words to feed her family, her Mother and Brother, Sydn, who do not work. She is 18 years. Salon & Apartment Maid.

Sairha Rouch – this Narrmaese girl is tall, and stands at about five feet and eight inches, with long red hair that hangs down to mid back like straight silk. She is pale, with a smattering of freckles, and a cute button nose. She is athletically built. She dresses in either Rocaille livery, or certain outfits to match themes that may be taking place. She is easy mannered, outgoing when drunk, and protective of her mistress who found her begging on the way to the City, and hired her on the spot. She is 20 years. Salon & Apartment Maid.

Edith du Pintur – this rotund woman stands at an average height of 5 feet 5 inches, and has a waist girth that shows what a good cook she truly is. Her hair is greying, her face wrinkled and sun worn, but she smiled a lot and is not afraid of wielding her thick wooden spoon when needed. She dressed in her own clothes to work in, and when spoken to is charming and friendly but does not suffer fools gladly. She is in her late 50’s. Salon & Apartment Cook – takes on help for fetes.

Miles du Pintur – Edith’s husband. He is tall, slim, and his once blonde hair is greying and thin on top. His skin is sun darkened, his hands weatherworn, and calloused from years of hard work. He has a soft, low voice, and rarely shouts unless there is something terribly wrong. He wears his own clothing for gardening. He is a quiet man, with a quiet manner, who prefers to listen instead of talking. He is in his 60’s. Salon Gardener – Part-time.

Jacques Monticule, the peacekeeper at Anael's Tavern, also works part time as a bodyguard for Isolde, and is a full PC and cannot be NPC'd.

Tucked away at the corner of a street is a small gate. The gate is delicate wrought iron, overlaid with copper that has verdisgris from weathering. The pale grey stone walls enclosing the gate are overgrown with a riot of white jasmine and pale yellow roses. The scent of the manor is more noticeable than the gate, initially. Through the gate is a round courtyard paved in cobblestone. The center of the circular courtyard is a small garden plot where three apple trees grow with climbing roses trained over the trunks. Three small benches are situated below the trees. On the right of the circle is a stable with double doors. Opposite the gate, rose the manor house, partially obscured by the apple trees. Along the left side of the circular drive lies a garden. Undertones of rich, loamy earth and citrusy smells waft from the garden to mingle with the floral overtones in the air. The sound of droning bees adds a hypnotic noise. Flittering butterflies and darting hummingbirds compete to distract the eye from the tended ground. The manor house is a small three story manor. Rounded steps lead from the cobblestone drive to the deep wooden double doors with verdigris accents. Large floor to ceiling windows line both walls, marching away from the door to the edge of the front of the house. Many are thrown open, and sheer draperies can be seen wavering in and out with a slight breeze.

No unread posts Beauvais Marquist Parlor

Beauvais Marquist Parlor has been in their family for centuries. Originally owned by the famous Tielhard family, the Beauvais family inherited it after Tielhard’s apprentice fell ill before any apprentices of his own could be given. Pride in their family kept it in their family. The building front sits on the main street of the Artisans’ District of the City of Elua. The grounds are meticulously cared for, with a beautiful walled in garden gracing behind the building, worked upon by the Ladies of the Beauvais family.

Upon entering the house, you find yourself in a foyer of polished wood that has a stairway leading up to the second level and a hallway leading further in, while a doorway leads to the dining room just under the stairways. On the other side of the dining room is a doorway leading to the kitchen. To the right of the main entrance is another doorway leading into the den.

On the second floor is the main parlor, where all of the work is done. A large mirror lets the client see the work progressing if they so wish and there are comfortable chairs and a fireplace there to make it welcoming for clients to have others along for support. A bathing room is also on the same floor so that clients can bathe before and after for relaxation.

On the final floor is Raoul’s bedroom and artist studio, where he would make the Marques and other tattoos for clients. He was also a portraitist and would take commissions outside of his clients.

In the heart of the Artisan's District rests a Salon titled Virtuoso. The exterior of the building melds with the rest of the scenery in terms of outer appearance. Tan and brown in hue, but well made. It's not the outside that's important. What is inside is a world of instrument, and a dream for any sort of bard or minstrel. A variety of string instruments, hand crafted line the walls, hanging from the ceilings. Occasionally those who pass by can hear the melodic sounds of of viols and lutes drifting out from the windows.

The ancestral home of house Orage is built spread across four islands that guard the delta of the river Aviline. Towers rise from each island, graceful minarets interconnected with enclosed sky bridges. Each island is walled with low walls that have staircases winding to docks on the water. Mined from a nearby quarry, the stone is a grey/green with sparkling veins of copper streaked through. Isle d’Orage guards the town of the same name that spans both sides of the Avaline delta. A bustling center of commerce from river trade and the local wine and silk trade, the roads leading into the walled town are constantly filled with wagons and carriages. Several smaller sandbars sprinkled around the islands of Isles d’Orage are covered with docks that teem with sailors. The town is a bustle of activity, with the open air market facing the river and the merchant square at the inland side of the town.

No unread posts Touch of Angels Spa and Salon

Touch of Angels Spa and Salon is situated to the north and west of the City of Elua, in the mountains. Entering the courtyard, there are stairs leading up towards the upper and lower levels as well as the main entrance. The main lobby has tiled designs on the walls showing the many manifestations of Elua and the Companions. Niches next to each mural hold glimmering globes which hold wicks in oil within them, lighting the area with a warm glow as one walks along. There are deeper niches with couches in them. You come to a half wall counter, where one can check in, whether for the day, hour, or multiple days.

To the left leads to the two main pools and alcove tepid pools. The hallway curves down and then comes to a doorway that leads to a landing looking out at the pools. Several waterfalls also fall into the non-steaming pools, trickling over various crevasses. More of the globes light the various areas, which are separated by hand painted screens showing various scenes of love making and water playfulness. They connect to outdoor pools, which are also accessed through a large door on either side of the large windows.

On the side of the stairs are also massage rooms for after or before soaking in the hot mineral springs. Inside each room there is a hidden stairway that leads back up to the other level, where private rooms for longer stays await. If one goes down the right hallway, they would find more rooms of these types.

Going farther down the hallway comes to another stairwell that leads up to the second level. On this level, more outdoor pools steam amidst more gardens and seating and overlooking the Terre d'Ange countryside.

Past those pools, Elian's private rooms house the owner. With a private kitchen as well as large bathing room, massage room, and bedrooms surrounding the main living area, it is very cozy.
